The Pro Bono Bash is a celebration of the people who make access to justice possible and the community that shows up to support them. This year, we’re focused on fun, with a soundtrack to match.

Join the Boulder County Bar Association and the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado for an evening that’s equal parts purpose and party, featuring live music from Road Pony, great food and drinks, and a room full of people who believe everyone deserves access to legal help when it matters most.

When you attend Pro Bono Bash, you’re not just coming to a fun night out—you’re helping fund free civil legal services for Coloradans facing housing instability, domestic violence, family crises, and more. Every ticket helps Colorado Legal Services support real people with real legal needs, right here in our community.

We’ll be at The St. Vrain in Longmont with plenty of space to mingle, dance, and connect. Expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere, delicious snacks, beer, wine, mocktails, and don’t forget your dancing shoes.

Please join us on Wednesday, April 15 for a CLE Webinar: Know Your Rights – Immigrant Protection from 12-1 PM via Zoom.

District Attorney Michael Dougherty has overseen an Immigrant Protection Program since 2018. He has been providing Know Your Rights presentations across the state. As communities across the country continue to struggle with valid concerns about ICE, it is crucial that people understand their rights in Colorado and the many ways we can protect our immigrants and communities. Michael will discuss the role of ICE, the legal protections in Colorado, how to protest safely, and the authority of local and state officials in holding ICE fully accountable.

BCBA RE/Landlord/Tenant CLE Webinar: 2024 and 2025 Landlord-Tenant Law Changes (29 Apr 2026)

Please join us on Wednesday, April 29 from 12-1 PM via Zoom for a RE/Landlord/Tenant CLE Webinar: 2024 and 2025 Landlord-Tenant Law Changes

The presentation will cover the 2024 for-cause eviction laws and the impacts it has had for tenants and landlords alike. It will cover the just cause reasons for an eviction, no-fault eviction notices and their requirements, and the limited circumstances where a notice to terminate may be used. It will cover the new service requirements for demands and notices and practice pointers on service. In addition, it will briefly cover the 2024 warranty of habitability requirements for leases and duties of landlords to respond to and fix different types of habitability issues. The presentation will cover considerations for practitioners as it relates to commercial versus residential legal changes. It will also cover a couple Colorado Supreme Court and Appellate cases decided in 2023 and 2024 that also change how eviction cases are handled. The presentation will then cover the 2025 law changes as it relates to victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. It will cover new demand requirements, new notice requirements, and new summons requirements. It will also briefly cover a few new defenses that victims of domestic violence or sexual assault have in eviction case. It will further cover the new return of security deposit laws for 2025 and compare it to the previous requirements. Finally, it will briefly cover some proposed legislation for 2026.

BCBA Annual Meeting 2026 (4 Jun 2026)

The BCBA will be holding the Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 4 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Basecamp (4909 Pearl East Circle, Boulder, Colorado) . This will be a casual gathering with food and drinks, and is free for all members! Special thanks to our current event sponsor Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti.

Current president Jodi Martin will be presenting brief remarks on the accomplishments of the bar over the past year. This will be followed by the introduction of our new members of the BCBA Board of Directors.
