Denise Metz and Gary Reser will be giving a presentation to criminal practitioners that work on cases involving alleged unlawful sexual conduct. Topics would include a summary of the changes in the Sex Offender Management Board (“SOMB”) standards and guidelines as well as the new sex offender terms and conditions, how the revised SOMB standards and new sex offender terms and conditions have impacted sex offender supervision and treatment, discussion of new case law affecting our practices including the Allman decision, discussion of appellate cases including the different ways that various judicial districts (including probation and treatment teams) are handling these cases and how the revised SOMB standard relates to these issues.
