Please join us for a live CLE webinar on the Natural Resources topic Tales of the Marshall Fire, and the Water Aftermath. The presenters will be Cory Peterson, Louisville Public Works Department, Deputy Director of Utilities; Katie Leone, P.E., Spronk Water Engineers; and Alan Hill and Ashley Pollock, Hill & Pollock law firm

This CLE will discuss the decisions and actions taken to maximize water availability for Louisville and Superior during the fire, including putting raw water from Marshall into the respective treated water infrastructures. It will also talk about use of other water and how the entity owning those water rights was made whole (or close to whole) for the water taken and used to fight the fire. There will also be a short discussion on whether an “emergency exception” from state administration for water used to fight wildfires is the best way to manage water use during wildfires.

This lunchtime program will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 pm via Zoom webinar. The Zoom link will be sent out to all registrants.

Special thanks to our event sponsor Dietze and Davis, P.C.
