The role of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office is expanding in real estate world. With the Colorado general assembly’s focus on increasing affordability and access to housing, it clearly perceives the COAG as a tool to achieve its housing policy goals in addition to consumer protection. The COAG’s expanding role is a topic the real estate bar should get in front of to effectively advise real estate clients, including investors, property managers, brokers, landlords, tenants, and others involved in real estate.
