Please join us for a live CLE webinar on the Ethics topic Creating Effective and Ethical Environments for Colleagues and Clients with Intellectual Disabilities, presented by April McMurrey, Zoey Tanner, and J. Chris Larson. Judge Larson is the newest 20th Judicial Officer. This presentation offers 1 Ethics credit.

Experts from the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel and Regis University offer a "how-to-guide" in creating a professional, ethical, and inclusive environment for clients and colleagues with intellectual disabilities. They will discuss the best practices on the ethical representation of neurodiverse clients. The discussion will enable participants to foster an inclusive and neurodiverse workplace, while addressing the key challenges attorneys encounter when they open their doors to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

This presentation will help participants recognize, mitigate and/or eliminate bias in the legal profession with regard to neurodiverse populations. Participants will also discuss how to provide competent and ethical representation of neurodiverse populations, and provide greater access to the legal system--both as colleagues and clients--for individuals ith intellectual disabilities. The speakers will address the ethical considerations around the inclusion and representation of neurodiverse clients and inclusive approach to the practice of law. This includes an examination of the key considerations around the Colorado and ABA Model Ethical Rule 1.14 ("Client with Diminished Capacity").

This lunchtime program will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 pm via Zoom webinar. The Zoom link will be sent out to all registrants.
